Nerdo spent the better part of day 2 showing me around Oslo. Lots of really cool buildings, and jsut a downright pretty city. Lots of ways to get around...subway, trolly, bus, etc.
This is what I thought was a patio cafe', when I nearly found out the hard way that it is a road with tables in it. Thanks to Nerdo for alerting me to oncoming traffic and the special of the day.
A street known for its prostitutes. Here, you can see some working girls and their "johns". Okay, okay..that's a lie. But come on...You gotta use your imagination.
The following are several pictures of the Akershus Fortress, which overlooks the Oslo Fjord. Thebuilding was put up in the 1770's if one of the placards I saw was the erection date. There are alot of pics, but it is an impressive place.
This is a statue of a naked woman picking on a little man. This is just outside of the Akershus Fortress, and Bloom told us this is some sort of national monument or something. Help Bloom..I cna't rememebr what you told us.
Akershus Fortress form the ferry that was taking Nerdo and I to the Kon Tiki Raft Museum.
Nerdo and I on the ferry to the Kon Tiki exhibit
Pictures of the RA II in the Kon Tiki Museum. The story of these rafts is very impressive.
House of Parliament ( I think)
A building I liked.
This is a street scene of what appeared to be a popular area. Very nice witha long mall area style park. There were street performers all over the place.
The West Side football team had nice flares, but they suck the big wazoo!!!!!
VIF!! VIF!!! VIF!!! VIF!!!!
After the football game, which we attended with two of Nerdo and Bloom's friends (Oova (sp?) and Jergen, we discussed how to meet up with Bloom the next day. Day two was great. I am now a fan of the
real football , not that namby pamby American style crap.
