We started the morning out taking the ferry from the dock at Gudvangen throught the Naeroyfjord and into the Sognefjord. We travelled the Sognefjord to Flam, where we would take the Flamsbana train up a very steep hill and see some fantastic scenery.
This is pulling away from the dock at Gudvangen...just getting uder way for our ferry trip.
If you look to the left, you can see the trail that Nerdo and I walked the night before to stretch our legs. This is right about the spot Nerdo went on her rant I think.
There were lots of vagrants on the wing on the ride. It really was good fun feeding them though. I may have a video or two to post later.
A beautiful fjordside homestead. What fun it would be to just stay here a couple of nights.
A view of a really cool hillside that had some many streams coming down the side, it was like a sideways marsh.
Naeroyfjord pics
Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!
Nerdo does squat thrusts at the back of the boat. I think she was getting ready to fight one of the Japanese tourists for a spot on the side of the boat.
Dream home on a hill.
This is the village of Underal. We were to visit a Stave church and a shop or two here the next day. A nice little place with very frinedly people.
Nerdo and I decided that if Tod Moss was not already married, this would be his perfect match! We had to do some serious scheming to get this picture. Team work won the day!!
"The Gudvangen" got us to Flam safely and without incident. Sadly, Nerdo discovered that this very ferry was in an accident at the dock in Gudvangen where we boarded. This happened only a week or so ago.
Here comes the Flamsbana. Boy howdy...it's a cool train.
Inside the Flamsbana, we were able to get some ding dang good seats. We really got lucky, as there were few tourists here the day we went up.
Here ar ea few of the views we got from the train window.
This is the ticket guy. He meant business I tell ya!
What a fantastic day this was shaping up to be. So many beautiful sites. There was stunning scenery at every turn and in every direction. I am holding back here on the pictures I"m telling you. I Know Nerdo has some great pics too!
Nerdo and Scjotott feed the air vagrants.

What great photos of a beautiful area! What was the temperature like? I notice you both are wearing longsleeves in many of the photos. Everything is so green!
maybe, a damp mid 50's when the clouds were around and it was raining. Sometimes in the low 60's. The sun didn't come out very many times the entire time I was there (except for when we were int Arendal), and it was fairly cool, but not uncomfortable.

I'm wondering if anyone had a present plopped on their heads from one of the birds when you all were feeding them. p
I hope those birds don't tell the pigeons you were feeding them, Scott. :p
Rimmer: So, let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the King of the Potato People and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you are completely sane?!
