Abdiqaasim's plan to install his tribe in the Digil and Mirifle regions

BAYDHABO 18, 2000 (BP)-Prior to his consolidation of power throughout the country, many hundred families of Habargedir Ceyr moved for settlement to the lower Shabelle and Jubba. As many people believe that this move is Abdiqasim's plan to find a land for his own tribe.
Infact some corrupted digil leaders has been asked to support this move and in exchange they received money. In only last month more than thousand families moved to what is believed to be a new approach of legalizing the settlement with the help of the government.
The internationl NGO's including ARFICARE are asked to finance the resettlment program. Many people are now terrorized with this new episode of invasion. The news coming from the occupied territories are very alarming and the deal is that the business, farming, fishing and all local politics will be under the hands of this new immigrants.
If the president succeeds to consolidate his power throughout the country, the prediction is to create a strong community of his tribe in the south and be able to definitively claim the area in the near future.
In fact Abdiqasim meeting with some digil leaders argued that digil land is considered multitribal and therefore, he argued them to share the local power with the new immigrants. He also told them that his intention is to change some of the decisions being made in Arta, which many people interpreted as a way of stoping federalism in the country.
This invasion can only be stopped by speaking the language these guys understand and that is the rifle. Any attempt to resolve this problem peacfuly will be unsuccessful.
Digil and mirifle should stand behind the RRA leaders and support the cause. The leaders of RRA with the help of the digil mirifle intellectuals should lead the struggle. To spread the cause, the RRA should have its own media and should not depend on BBC and IRIN, which both support the newly erected evil government.
