well, she's a reporter

January 24 2007, 7:51 AM

but she's not on air much. She's the one they send out to interview people at the scene. For example, she was at that apartment fire all night, went home to thaw out, and then went back to the press conference and got audio there. She was "on the scene" when the lumber truck over turned on the MLK Bypass a couple weeks ago. She interviewed Gary Sinise when he and his band played at Ft. Carson. She did fill in between Christmas and New Years some on air. She has been working with Joe Myers for a few years now and used to be at KVOR with him.

Her name is Molly. She's a cute blonde and she's single... :-)

Do you "remember" this or

January 26 2007, 10:51 AM

are you a pop culture history buff? :-) When Molly started working for this place she called a "Christian type of station." I was never clear on what that meant. She does news though and loves what she does. If she doesn't die of hypothermia at one of these late night, winter incidents, maybe she can find a nice police office or fireman to marry and settle down with. Many of her peers have met their spouses at stories...

It just amazes me how much Colorado Springs has changed in the past 15 years. That was my first "big city" to drive in and it definitely wasn't big. We used to drive from Fort Carson to the Academy fairly quickly without getting on the interstate. Don't think you could do that now. :-)

Do I remember this? r/o

January 26 2007, 4:58 PM

YES..and lived it. Family moved to Colorado Springs in 1969. KYSN was THE rasio station and the most popular dj was Tom Turcotte

As for driving to the Academy from Ft. Carson....THAT would take forever in 5 o'clock traffic on I-25 lol.

I guess I shouldn't make fun

January 29 2007, 6:13 AM

of people remembering things. I was in a valley with one radio station for so long that when I become old enough to purchase cassette tapes of my own, it was like a whole new world opened up. I didn't even have the luxury of sitting in front of MTV all afternoon after school as my parents lived 5 miles outside of BV and had no cable or satellite or anything. I knew nothing about the rest of the world, pop culture wise, until I was in my mid teens. Yes, I was deprived as a child. :-( Tee Hee :-)

Because she's the one

April 2 2007, 11:21 AM

holding the dadgum camera all the time. Other than her mug on the who's who page, you probably won't see her. Mom catches sight of her at news conferences every now and again, cause she's so tall. She's also blonde and has a habit of walking through shots filmed by the TV stations... :)

Or were you saying her pic wasn't up on the who's who page?

If it started there, I'm not aware of that. When I was a kid, it was on San Miguel by Mitchell High School.

What do you want us to respond? I lived it. Native to CS, born mid 50s. I'm with Phil KYSN was the radio station. My sister would have listened to it 24/7 if she could have. She would take a transistor radio to bed with her. Yep, that ages us.
