Just wanted to touch base with the group after over a year away from posting messages here. We have moved to New Mexico and brought two of our Davenports with us. Artemisia CF is currently leading AERC in limited distance endurance category and also the southwest region. We're having a blast riding back out west and are so happy to be back here again.
Prelude CF is still competing in multi day endurance rides with a friend in Lake Havasu, Arizona and we recently saw her at a ride in Wickenburg, AZ. She looks great! Fakher El Alamein (Valentino) is with us here in New Mexico. He is our daughter's half Davenport retired endurance horse who's accomplishments have put her through junior college on an endurance scholarship! He loves the sun and warm weather and is happy to go trail riding a couple times a week.
NOW TO THE BIG STUFF.....I am looking for a Davenport back up horse for Artemisia. I need to get another horse going down trail. We have decided to breed her after this season, and so.....if anyone has something available they would like to share, I'll need price, availablility, location, etc. My knees are SHOT after years of abuse, so I was HOPING to find a horse that was at least green broke if not better. I know how easy these guys are to be around and ride, but another knee injury wouldn't be good. I know there are no guarantees with any horse, but you know what I mean...
Thanks for any and all responses. You can e-mail me privately at sweau@msn.com if you'd like to. Nice to chat with you all again and keep us posted on those Davenport accomplishments. Get out there and use these horses! They're awesome!
