On Sunday night May 16- 99 we got hit bay a very bad hail storm before we could get all the horses put up. It is with a very very sad heart that I tell you that my beloved Sir Gem LD was lost to us ni that storm.
Though the kindness of her heart Carol Lyons sold me Gem at 6 mos. old in 1986 and Gem has been with me the whole time. I did not breed him to all the Davenport mares I should have and wanted to as I though I had time to do it. I though we would grow old together.
Here is a poem for Gem to help say good by.
