Rescue Badawi CF in VA

by Tanya H.

Hey all, I just saw that someone is trying to get the word out that Badawi CF needs rescuing in Virginia. I guess he is for sale for $100.
I've seen him and he is a real dark chestnut beauty. I live on the west coast, so naturally he is on the East side!

Here is the link I found to him. He is all Davenport. http://forums.ablackhorse.com/lofiversion/index.php?t20617.html

Davenport gelding for sale

by

This beautiful Chestnut Al Khamsa Arabian gelding is pure Davenport. He is 5 years old, 14-2 hands, and has a sweet disposition. He is quiet and stands for grooming, saddling, farrier or vet services. He is very intelligent, athletic and has three exceptional gaits. He has had professional training with emphasis on beginning trail riding, but shows great aptitude toward Endurance, Dressage and Driving disciplines. I'm looking for a good home with an owner who will love him as much as I do. Asking $3000 OBO. E-mail pictures available.

Do not deal with Barbara. All of her horses are on steroids and she is only in the business for the money, she could care less about the horses' health and well-being. If you want a healthy horse that won't die from a heart attack DO NOT deal with Barbara Wallstrom.

Anonymous attacks aren't worth the paper they aren't printed on

by

If you can't manage to put your name to your opinion, why should I pay it any mind? (And no, I've never met Barbara, but I saw pictures of her and her horses taken during the Davenport Days celebration in 2006, and both facility and horses looked quite pleasant.)

Introducing myself

by

Hello everyone,
My name is Jane Benefiel, and I live in Littlerock, California (Ed Skinner country-we miss him here, and how!)
I have two Davenports, one is Circus CF, given to me by Ed Skinner upon his passing. The other, Savannah Joann, I purchased at the AK Convention from CJ Arabians (Jay Wilson). Both are beauties, and after feeding, I enjoy just hanging out and watching them.\

I've wanted a Davenport for over a decade, and am thrilled to have these.

We have quite a group of AK and Davenport breeders in this area, so it is a treat to go visit them.

I would enjoy hearing from any of you about your horses.
Best, Jane Benefiel

Ed Skinner's horse

by

Hi Jane,
I saw your name when I was on this site posting a "for sale" for my Al Khamsa Arab. My Davenport is Ed Skinner's horse - Circus'- colt. He was born on Maggie and Barry's ranch in 2002. He has been with me in El Dorado Hills for almost a year now. I am looking for a caring home for him as I don't have the time it takes to put miles on a young horse. Do you have any ideas for me?

ALERT FOR ALL TRAVELLERS TO NORTH AMERICAN CONTINE

by Jinja

Alert for all travellers to North America: Abuse of Human Rights and Privacy Violations:

Racially intolerant white canadian cops and security and their henchmen claim to be despots; following parasitically in the footsteps of their american counterparts, and wilfully engage in their racial profiling of non-whites, in racial harassment of non-whites, and in racially dehumanizing attempts to racially harass non-whites through intimidating physically, mentally, and spiritually; portraying their racial hatred of non-whites through causing wilfull and dehumanizing disturbance to non-whites through using illegal wall-see-through technologies and audio-bugs on non-whites' homes; through listening and watching through the walls of non-whites' rented and owned homes, and through their internet and private telephones. The perpetuators of these evil deeds do this from their cars using illegal equipment slyly given to them by the unworthy cops, and then
accelerating their cars loudly and intimidatingly near non-whites' homes and driving intimidatingly in presence of non-whites on streets, making threatening u-turns, driving intimidatingly right up and over sidewalks when a non-white is on the sidewalk, and throwing their ugly bullying weight around, in their shameless acts of cowardice. It is all done slyly, supposedly smartly, however, they cannot fool all the people all the time. The cops also participate themselves to wail their sirens abusively everytime non-whites move and talk inside their rented and owned homes in daily routine living, in addition to having their henchmen, and often, using their non-white gutless henchmen in cars, transport, shopping centers, neighborhoods, etc, to commit these ugly harassing racially profiling
deeds at all times day and night. Using non-whites to engage in racial harassment of other non-whites is an obnoxiously evil sinister humanely disgraceful intelligent move of the whites well-known for their ugly divide and rule tactics through their non-white henchmen.

It's a shameful disgrace when the so called protectors of law turn into abusers of law themselves and throw the weight of their uniforms and law around as cowards. So, they and their henchmen, appear to be very law respecting on the outside; however, they network cowardly to commit sly acts of provocation to non-whites all the time, which is supposed to
be legally acceptable. Is watching through walls of non-whites homes, bugging their homes, working in networking syndicates against them, committing human rights and privacy violations against them, supposedly lawful for the whites? Who makes those laws that favor
only the whites? The law itself has racism in its clauses. The ugly inner dirt of the perpetuators of these evil deeds of racism do not deserve to step into religious institutions for their ugly deeds - such as, if you ain't white, you ain't right? Oh! Really? Nicely dressed, beautiful people, magnificient concrete jungles, clean roads and lawns, sweet polite talkers on the outside, full of ugly stench in their souls, that is the
cause of these racist policies that are outrightly biased against non-whites. What a shame!

Most of these ugly acts of dehumanizing racial profiling depict the cowardice of the doers of these deeds in the real sense, and are done at the behind the scenes insistence of the racially intolerant white cops through their frontline stooges. However, without physical evidence, the white cops, security, societies, and their henchmen are laughing sinisterly
at their heinous deeds and the legal system seems to support this evil through its inability to take action without physical evidence. Their racial profiling penetrates public transport systems, shops and stores to do all they can to make the non-whites feel unwelcome in their dehumanizing acts of racial profiling against non-whites and those who don't conform to their nonsense. The white cops, security, and white communities use their
henchmen who do just as they are told and from behind the safety cushion of their oil-guzzling, pollution creating, often dark-glassed vehicles to intimidate and harass non-whites in obnoxious racial profiling that reflects the immoral, despotic, and cowardly behaviour of racially intolerant white cops, security, communities and their dumb henchmen
who do just as they are told, fuelled as they are in their racial frenzy, thanks to the racially manipulative corporate controlled media.

For more information, visit:

http://www.yourluckytoday.blogspot.com

Volunteers are welcome to circulate this information to all they know to put an end to this abuse and violations of human rights committed by immorally misbehaved white cops, security, white communities, public transports, shops, stores, etc, and their dumb henchmen who do just as they are told in their racial frenzy.

Save this information on your computers before any cowards remove it from the websites.

Racism is immoral and dehumanizing behaviour that reflects the "incapable to perform humanely" quality of those who are racist and are being watched from God's court above in ways they cannot be expected to be capable to perceive yet.

It's a shame when obnoxious stench of racism comes from people in so called rich countries. It's even more of a shame when words are twisted by media to influence young minds with lies. It's even more of a shame when so called authorities perpetuate racism and behave racistly and enforce racist policies and behaviour through intimidating means amidst outer sweet and polite talks. Racism seems to be prominent among so called white people in rich countries who cannot bear non-whites from other countries of origin. Planet Earth belongs to people of Earth. Highly educated people of high intellectual calibres, rich bosses and CEOs, etc, of rich countries are a blotch on humanity and their material levels when they
haven't yet evolved to basic human concepts of all humans have red blood irrespective of race.

Racism stems from social attitudes that are perpetuated by racist societies, the media, the authoritarians, and the peers. It's time to say, shame on all those who perpetuate racism and racist attitudes.

Thank you.

Jilfan-sitam al Bulad Sireline?

*El Bulad did not leave a sire line; his descent was through daughters, especially the prolific Dahura, and one daughter of his son Fartak. His influence is distant in modern pedigrees: his last breeding grandget were foaled in 1941.

Loss of a Great Mare

by

Our family is sad to announce that our mare Ca Naadirah had to be put to sleep today at the age of 22 she would of been 23 next month. Her sire was Diomede and her dams sire was Haltan. She was only 3/4 Davenport but she was pure Davenport at heart. We have had her since she was four and she has been a very big part of our family. We could of searched the world over and never found a mare like her. If anyone knows of anyone that has a filly or mare for sale with either Diomede or Prince Hal bloodlines would you please contact me.

Responding to your request

by

My mare's baby, BPA Subtil Supris or as we call her, "Spot", is for sale. She is a very nice bay filly. She is out of my mare Nuance CF and she is by Palisades CF. Prince Hal is her great great grandsire. She would probably be a good replacement for your mare, if thats what you want to call it. All information about her can be found on the Arabian Horse Assossiation's website. If interested, go to arabianhorses.org, and at the top of the page mouse over "Marketplace" and click on "Arabian Horses For Sale." Under "Bloodline" go to Davenport, and click on "Search." She will be the last one advertised. All contact deltails will be on her add.

I have known this filly since her birth and I absolutely adore her. She's got the best sweetest disposition, and will be a dream to ride when she's old enough. Hope I've helped you out!

I'm sorry you lost your mare. Diomede and Trilogy were the last living Prince Hal offspring, they both died this year. There are a few young horses by both of them but the nearest Prince Hal descendant I know of that might be available is a lovely flaxen chestnut Trilogy daughter in Michigan. She was for sale a couple of years ago, anyway.

arabian gelding endurance prospect for sale.

by

15.1h 14yr fleabitten grey arabian gelding.
Well-broken but not suitable for young kids. Ridden english and western. He has a great working trot and a smooth canter that covers ground. I worked young horses off him, driving not ponying. Started on jumps and has some minor potential (not his best skill). His best skill IS trailriding. He was ridden drag on a 2day (50mile) competitive trail ride with little conditioning and had no problems.
His only vice is he can be hard to catch in large pastures. He trailers, stands tied, stands for the farrier and to be bathed and clipped with no problems.
He was a reserve-grand champion arabian stallion at the Houston livestock show and rodeo in the late 90's.
Asking $2500
Any interest, please email for pictures.

Sporthorse warmblood cross, perfect for breeding program, open to all offers

I have a levely 4 year old hanoverian/quarter horse mare, chestnut, 4 socks, 16 hands, big bone, uphill build. She substained an injury in her back that she may or may not recover from....I think she would make an excellent sport horse broodmare.
I am open to any offers including a trade for a sport horse half or purebred arabian that is rideable or a propsect. I need a steady eddie type horse....older is okay. Needs to be at least 15 hands, open to either mare or gelding. Would prefer one that has been in the showring at some point.
Mare is located in NC. I have pictures and video

17 Arabians - most Davenport going to Auction 30 to 60 days

by karen Witt

This was posted on the yahoo Arabian Horse Rescue Board. I thought I would make sure this was posted here. I have owned a few Davenports before and they are wonderful horses.

17 Arabians in Nebraska:

Update: 26 Oct 2006

By any chance are these some of the horses? We heard there were 17
total, though not all Davenports. We were told that a notice should
appear in the Hastings Tribune when the auction will be.
http://www.hastings tribune.com/ It would be nice if someone or more
than one of our Davenport breeders could attend. Can we organize
ourselves to perhaps find a way to buy these animals and if need be
pooling our resources? I hate thinking of any horse going to
slaughter. Please see below message and list. Chris

There are 17 Arabian Horses in need of help in Nebraska. These horses are going to be going to auction within the next thirty to sixty days. They were rescued by the Hastings, Nebraska Sheriff's Department two years ago. These horses were very malnourished and near dead in some cases. There have been reports that there were two dead at the time of the rescue.

These horses are now in Foster care and the Sheriff's Department is working with the County Attorney to have them cleared to be auctioned to try to recoup the amount of money that has been put into them. These horses are going to be going to auction at a time when the market in Nebraska is very bad. There are kill buyers at all the local auctions and we would like to do all we can to keep these horses from going to them.

Most, if not all, of these horses are registered. The Sheriff's Department is working to get their papers from the owner to transfer to whomever adopts them. At this point, the owner is refusing to turn them over. The owner, Rose Marie Arthur, is in jail on several counts. We are working to make contact with her to try to get the papers turned over.

If you are interested in helping these horses, please email me at the address just below this article. I will add you to our update list that goes out by email. As new information comes in I will send it out to all interested.

We are also working to get pictures of these horses. Please bear with us as we are slowly gathering information. I will post pictures here as soon as we get them in.

This is my first attempt to organize a rescue, so if you have any suggestions please feel free to email me them.

Thanks for caring!

If the horses have ever been registered it would be by the Arabian Horse Association. Thier site is www.Arabianhorses.org They are very helpful. You can also reach them by phone at 303-696-4500. If any of these horses have been registered depending on how old they are. Their DNA would be on record showing what horse they are. Our their parents my have their DNA on record.

Please Help Us to Stop Horse Slaughtering.

by

Happy Anilals Day!!!
There is a big issue for horse lovers before the Senate right now. Three foreign-owned horse slaughter plants here in the USA are killing American horses to sell to diners in Belgium, France and Japan. They kill the horses, harvest the meat, and then ship it overseas. There is a bill before the Senate right now to ban this practice in all 50 states.

Me and some friends are asking people to send an email to their senators asking them to push this bill through and vote to end horse slaughtering. The bill has already passed the US House of Representatives and this is the last hurdle before it goes to the President for his signature.

A common misperception is that the horses are old or sick - not true. Many are under 2 years old and healthy, and are sold simply for money.

Here's how you can help - everyone needs to contact their senators and indicate they don't want our horses dying to feed other countries.

Go to http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/ and type in your zip code. Send an email to both of your US senators and tell them to stop this terrible practice. The vote is coming before the Senate next week so please do it NOW! Thanks!!!
You can read more information about it:
http://www.horsesarefriendsnotfood.com

Please forward this email to all of your friends to prevent HORSE SLAUGHTERING.

Thanks Again in advance!!!

Must Sell Krush Davenport Mares

by

Due to an auto accident in July 2005, resulting in surgery and ongoing physical problems, I must sell the following straight Davenport mares:

Katy O'Krush LD
Hala AlKrush LD
CF Halalujah (Al Mujiz Jauhara x Hala AlKrush LD)
CF Karismah (Al Mujiz Jauhara X Katy O'Krush)

All offers considered, would make a package deal for all four mares. These horses absolutely MUST go to new homes before winter, as I cannot manage the additional chores when they are brought in from pasture into stalls as the weather declines. Please email with any questions. We are located in western Oregon, but could deliver.

We also have a half-Davenport weanling colt available who is spectacular.

Colt for sale

by

I have a Davenport/Egyptian black sweepstakes nominated colt for sale at weening. His bloodlines are Dam 1. CA Naadirah her sire Diomede her dam Star Beshara. 2. Diomede dam Decibel his sire Prince Hal. 3. Star Beshara dam Star Impashioned her sire Haltan. The colts sire is a straight black Egyptian stallion named 1.Naji Halim his dam is Chelsea her dam is Muneera her sire is The Minstril. 2.His sire is Haziz Halim his dam is Serenity Shahrabi his sire is Ansata IBN Halima.
The colts name is The Nadir Halim. He has the height of the Egyptian and everything else of the Davenport. He is a big baby that will lay his head in your lap to rub him. He is 3 months old and already leads, stands tied, you can rub, touch or hit him anywhere. Pull his tail and pick up all his feet. He loads into a trailer with no problem at all. He isn't afraid of just about anything. He is curious and loves people. He is going to make someone a great horse for what ever you want him to do. He is more then willing to try anything for you. I am located in Missouri if you would like to stop in and see him or I can email you pictures if you are interested. He hasn't completely shed his baby hair so pictures of him don't flatter him very well.

Davenport arabian seeking to sell some tack!!

by tanya

Hi everyone,
I have a Pat Parelli theraflex english self inflating saddle pad for sale-$300. It's an auto balancing air pad with great stability and the right amount of tackiness to prevent slip. I used it with my Davenport mare and she really appreciated the comfort it provides. It's lightly used and in great condition.

I also have a Balance International dressage saddle (black) for sale. This is the best saddle I have EVER used. It's wide so it doesn't pinch the horses back or cause painful pressure points. My mare loves this saddle- she complains when I use anything else. I'm getting a new saddle, so someone else can enjoy this awesome saddle at a great savings! New they are over $2700-$3000. My price is $1200.

Reply to this posting and I'll send my email addy etc... to you.

Thanks!
Tanya

105 miles at the Color Country endurance ride

by

Bah-Rani LF had a fantastic weekend at the Color Country endurance ride in southern Utah this weekend. He completed 105 miles with all A's from the vet and top 20 over all in the race. Even after that many tough miles he came in still prancing and showing off for the vet, and of course all of the mare's at the ride. By the way this was his first ride of the year so next month he should do even better.
He had quite the fan club by the end of the race!

Straight Davenport Stallion now available at stud

by

We just purchased a beautiful Davenport stallion, IBN Sham, and he is standing at stud in Tennessee. He is Chestnut with a Platinum mane and Flaxen tail. He is one of the few living decendents of Hadba. You can see photos and a video of him at http://trammelcreekarabianhorse.homestead.com/maxpage.html If it isn't on his webpage yet, we do offer cooled, shipped semen. He has the most wonderful disposition, very calm and gentle. He is entering training as a reiner and we expect some big things out of this horse in the next couple of years. We are somewhat new to Davenports and we welcome your emails about what is going on with these wonderful horses.

Davenport Mare wins AERC Regional Title

by

Just a brag note on my mare Artemisia CF. Last weekend we attended the AERC Endurance Natinal Awards in San Antonio. Artemisia was awarded the AERC Southwest Region Limited Distance Mileage Championship for 2005, completing 575 miles. I am so proud of her and will forever be in Charles and Jeanne Craver's debt for the honor of owning such a wonderful mare. Artemisia was also awarded the AERC Southwest Region LD Best Condition Horse Reserve Award for the year. She's racked up over 1200 lifetime miles and still going strong, having just completed Randy Eiland's Cow Tanks II Ride in New Mexico two weeks ago.

Looking for Info on Master Charles/Dancing Master, anglo stallions

by

Hi

I'm hoping you Arab-experts here will be able to help me!

I'm currently researching my friend's mare's pedigree and wondered if you lot would be able to help me with the Arab part of it?

Shannon is by Master Charles who was by Dancing Master. Both of these stallions, I believe, were Anglos - 25% and 50% Arab respectively.

Does anyone know anything about them or point me in the direction of some information?

Googling their names plus stallions, arabs etc comes up with some VERY dodgy pages, lol.

Hope someone can help, I'd be very grateful if you can

Shannon is Highfieldsfarm Upper Crust and what pedigree I know is on AllBreedPedigree.com - I'm not too sure whether Master Charles' maternal side is right

Fakher El Alamein (Valentino)

by

The half Davenport gelding Fakher El Alamein, better known as Valentino passed away on Tuesday. He was a wonderful companion and friend to our daughter Amy Sherrill, who competed with him in endurance and competitive trail riding for years. He was her childhood friend and companion. To see him in action would explain his nickname around the barn - "Mr. Wonderful." He spent the past 2 years with his grandparents (us) in New Mexico and had a wonderful retirement. An hour after we arrived at the vet clinic, we received a call from Amy in Michigan. She just knew it was Valentino and that something was wrong. That was the kind of connection they had. Their accomplishments with UMECRA Amy a 2 year scholarship for college. Considering this horse came to us with an old bowed tendon, his accomplishments on trail were remarkable. He will be missed. We wanted to let those of you know who remembered him.
