(I am an) Ecstatic New Davenport Owner!
by
Hello Everyone!
I am the new owner of Trellis CF. She just arrived today...and after fifteen - no, more like sixteen - years of hoping and waiting, I finally have a Davenport of my own. I could fill a mediocre novel with my story of how this ended up taking so long to happen. To all of the owners and breeders who have answered my unavailing inquiries about horses you have had for sale over the years, I apologize for having annoyed you and wasted your time, as well as for all the wasted postage and unreturned videos and photos, etc. Thankyou for all your help, and your patience.
I am so glad that Trellis has a new happy home. It was so nice to meet you and your son and mother. I believe that Trellis will have many happy years of companionship.
Hi, my name is kim, and I know u have never herad of me but I just wanted to congradulate u on ur new horse.....I live in Colorado, and It would be very kool to have a pen pal, or something to talk to about horses....I dont have ahorse yet, but have wanted 1 since I was2, and im 13 now!!! Im in westernaires which is a non-profit organization that helps kids..so, it would be gr8 to have u e-mail me, i think i wrote it down, but in case you cant see it here it is...Jsoccergirl00@aol.com, ok? and if that doesnt work than u can try nettletonclan@comcast.net..rele hope that u will write back, and the best of luck from me 2 u and ur new horse...bye
I just bought a beautiful arabian mare she has Tripoli on her papers 5th genaration, she also has(5th) Raf-Farana, Bandar, Morafic, Raasdear and Dhalana can any please give me some insight as to where i can research these lines to find out her back ground further?? I would like to know as much as I could as to find what kind of stallion I should ever breed her to. Thank Melissa
I'm the proud owner of a 17-yr old bay mare, CL Keligirl. I was told she was straight Egyptian, shpped in from Colorado. We were also told she's "The old, OLD Eqyptian blood" - and have been trying to obtain info on her bloodlines(3 lines to Dharebah, 2 to Dhareb & 3 to Tripoli as well as JADAAN & LETAN). We were also informed that one of Keli's colts was purchased by a shiek and exported to the Middle East. Many of the names in her pedigree were extremely foreign to me, with the exception of Hanad. The owner's representative kept stressing the fact that Keli had 3 links to Tripoli. I'd never heard of Tripoli & began my search into Keli's pedigree. My friend, Diana, in Seaford DE has a book that depicts the old Egyptian blood and she sent me copies of some of Keli's ancestors & info on Mr. Davenport. I found the Davenport info on-line and this site. I plan to purchase Mr. Davenport's book, "My Quest of the Arabian Horse." Maybe I'll find some photos in it (our Keli is built much like the description of Wadudda. When I first saw Keli, I was reminded of Witez II. I'm reading some of the stories in the site, I'm finding many of Keli's relatives - ie, her great-grandsire, Akmet Haffez. I believe we have a Davenport decendent here on the East coast!
I plan to breed Keli this month to Diana's stallion, an Ansata El Ghazal son/Ibn Sudan grandson. We have a yearling filly, JE's ASAL (aka SOONER - born 2 weeks earlier than expected) by this same stallion, out of my daughter's Egyptian mare, Sokkarah. "Sooner" is very typey with extremely animated gaits and a disposition that's sweet as honey (asal - appropriately named, I believe). Keli also has a wonderful disposition. I'm hoping Keli's foal will too! I will be doing more research on Keli's pedigree - is there anyone I can contact if I have "Davenport" questions?
May I ask who her sire and dam were? I may be able to give you more detailed information about her Davenport lines.
If you would like to join a group of people who are knowledgeable about the Davenport you can send a blank e-mail to:
DavenportArabs-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And it will join you to the Davenport mailing list.
Is an independantly run site that has links to many other great sites, as well as a couple of Davenport Breeder homepages. If you go to the top most links listed you will find articles that have been written about the Davenport Arabian over the years. Including articles written about Tripoli, Jadaan and Wadduda.
Kelli is by Plantagenet out of High-C. I've been informed she's Straight Davenport and of the rare Kuhaylan Kurush strain. I've also learned she has a daughter & 2 sons who live in Jordan (owned by Princess Alia & the UAE).
I've read the Davenport History pages plus some info a friend has sent from a book she has. I plan to purchase Mr. Davenport's "My Quest for the Arabian Horse." I think I'll send that e-mail and get on the Davenport mailing list. I need to learn all I can about this!
Yes. I asked about her to a couple of people and found that she was a High C daughter.
I knew the name sounded familiar.
Yes she is of some of the rarer lines in the Davenports. If you haven't contacted them yet, Charles & Jeanne Craver and Kim Davis would be most insterested in knowing that you have her. They are all members of the Davenport list. If you need the subscribe address for the list let me know, I would be more than happy to snd it to you. It is not an extreemly active list, though it does have its little bursts.
I was fortunate to see her as a 2 year old. A lovely mare. She seemed to be very sweet.
I you'd like I would be glad to forward to you a photo of High C. Unfortunately in the photo her "C" is covered.
Thanks for your response. Not only am I enjoying Keligirl, I'm astounded by the information I've rec'd from other Davenport owners, websites, etc. and having a ball taking in all of this. I love finding out about Keligirl's family - I did view the list of Straight Davenports decending from the 2nd foundation mare, ASARA (viewed in Kim Davis' website). She has been very informative - Keligirl is of the rare Kuhaylan kurush strain & and Kim also directed me to the susbscribe address as well as a photo site. Michael Bowling also gave me a few tidbits: Keliigirl has a few kids! A daughter (DDA Samha - by DDA Semper Fi; & 2 sons, DDA Jowad & DDA Sakhar, both by Letarnad & owned by Princess Alia & the UAE. (I found them on the above ref'd list). High-C must be a great mare - I saw her name several times on the list. Michael Bowling stated he'd seen Keli's sire, Plantagenet.
I'm jealous you got to see Keli as a youngster. Even though she's 17 now, she looks great! And the way she romps in the pasture, kicking up her heals, tossing her head & playing "tag" w/our yearling filly & 2 yr old gelding, you'd think she was a youngin' herself. and, yes, she's very, very sweet. The only problem I've had with her is loading on the 2-horse, ramp-style trailer. She has no problem w/a stock trailer. But with a little patience and a lot of coaxing & practice, she'll load. Quite a smart girl!
I'd love a shot of High-C! Did she have a white "C" on her forehead? Keligirl has one. I've found a few photos of some of Keligirl's relatives. It's all very facinating. I'd love to contact the Cravers. I've been reading stuff about them on the Davenport sites. They sound like wonderful people. I'd like to let them know that Keligirl is alive and kickin' and will have a loving home for the rest of her life. I'd like to ask them what type traiining Keligirl has had - I was told she was a broodmare her first 13 years then was broken at 14. I've ridden her a few times - she's green, but very willing to please.
Keli & my filly are going to a back-to=back show this weekend, then Keli's going to Seaford, DE to be bred. Unfortunately, I'd already contracted this breeding and paid all the fees. I read something about how this Kurush line is dying out - I told Kim Davis I may be enlisting her help next year to find a Davenport stallion for Keligirl as I'd like to help preserve it. I told Keli all I wanted from her was 1 foal by this stallion (my filly's sire) who throws very pleasant, animated, typey, intelligent people-loving babies (we have 3 of his kids - all out of different mares, but exhibit those qualities I just mentioned).
Sorry to have prattled on so - I'm just excited I've gone from recognizing 1 name in Keligirl's pedigree (Hanad) to being flooded with all this new information!
It's great! I've been waiting for an excuse to hook-up the scanner - I'll make the time to do so and send you a photo of Keligirl - the Delaware Davenport.
She's been in Seaford, DE for the past 3 weeks or so to be bred (we bred her for final time last night - and oh what a hussy she was! She really liked this stallion - I hope this works! We'll see shortly.
Per your request, I have some photos of Keli & the gang, but I can't attach the file. Maybe if you send me a note to the farm PC (see above), I can attach the photo file & send back to you. Then you'll be able to see the "C" on her forehead. PS - Michael B. sent me a photo of Keli's dam, High-C - what a nice mare!

chestnut mare. Nice pony hunter prospect. Unbroke
$1,000
If you don't get any other offers, I'd be happy to buy her.
Don't need another horse right now (what an understatement) but would like to make sure she ends up in Davenport hands.
Wish I could make you an offer on Audaciuos, but I definitely don't have the room for another stallion.
My friend has filed for divorce & needs to sell Audacious CF, Trellis CF & her broke to ride 15hd Anglo-Arab mare (by a Davenport stallion)as soon as possible.
I have successfuly reduced my herd to something quite managable, but still have 2 Straight Davenport females for sale. SA Apex (Ascendant x CH Fair Dawn) is a 1995 black mare with just a little white on her face. She is available with a breeding to Gladstone (Sportin Life x Sunstone)after her lease in Oregon is up. Also for sale is her stunning solid black Y2K daughter, Javera Ebonydream, by Sportin Life. Both females can be seen at my website, www.javeraarabians.com. Video is also available to a serious buyer.
tail female line to Wadduda two lines to Morafic for sale
by
tail female line goes to Wadduda from what I am told. this mare has been a great momma as well as trail mount for intermediate riders. Mi Bint Shalea is totally sound and sane but owner had new self position and has no time for Shalea. Very pretty mare chestnut pretty white stripe down on her face. I dont check this sight so if interested please contact me at munchies@webtv.net I would be happy to send you reference letters from others that have bought sight unseen out of state (we are in Oklahoma) as well as shipping is very reasonablePriced to sell at just $2500 OBO
Yes, he is alive and he lives in Oregon. He is also available for stud puposes. I don't know if they ship or just do live cover.
He is owned in partnership I believe by Jean Ivey and Janelle Wilde.
Gladstone has about 5 or 6 foals expected this season at the ranch where he lives. I think a few might already be born. I know there is at least one colt on the ground and I heard he is for sale.
If you don't know who Jean and Janelle are I think I can get contact infor for you.
\Tanya
I own Gladstone's sire, Sportin Life. Gladstone's 3rd foal was born May 10th, a filly. The other 2 are a bay colt and a black filly. He has several more coming, including one from my black mare, SA Apex. We're hoping for another black.
The "S" was an error in The Quest. S, for stallion, was just carried over by mistake. So, his registered name is Gladstone. I am the breeder and owner. We are expecting seven foals by Gladstone this season. Three are here. The thing I love about these foals, besides their being so pretty, is they all have four black feet, and a small star. When they are grown they will all be different colors, but, right now, it is hard to tell them apart.
There is a new Davenport email list up, you are welcome to come and join, it is ok to list Davenports for sale, at stud and pictures are welcomed. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Davenport_Source/
Unfortunately the Wadduda Tail-female line is no longer within the Davenports. However every Davenport Arabian traces to Wadduda. For a list of Great Davenport Sites go to http://www.davenporthorses.com
Any of the people on this site would love to disguss thier horses and thier pedigrees with you.
For horses that have strong Wadduda lines that aren't straight Davenport go to http://www.awhitehorse.com/hipower/
The Howards are greatpeople who love to share their horses.
Since we are including the Davenport-Hamidie horses within the Davenport group these days, there is one living *Wadduda-tail-female Davenport-Hamidie. His name is Kamil Ibn Sahanad. He is a 1976 chestnut stallion, by Kamil Ibn Salan out of Sahanade. Of course, since he is a stallion, there won't be any more, but he is at stud in Southern California.
I saw your message on this site with regarding to the "Wadduda" line. I have such a mare out of the Sahanade line. I would be glad to send pics and copy of pedigree as well. She has had one foal which is a beaut and they are both black. I am looking to sell the mare. She will be 6 this May and has also had 60 days professional training by local arabian trainer. She is very kind, sweet and strongly built mare.
Please advise if you or anyone you know looking to breed this line may be interested. I can also be reached at my home e-mail which is:
Hello all! I finally feel brave enough to post a message, so here goes.
I'd like to get some opinions on what range would be ideal for Davenport stallion fees.
I recently purchased a full Davenport mare and I am looking forward to future breedings for her. I looked on the Al Khamsa Stallion Directory and saw some attractive price ranges. The prices I have seen have been around $300-$450 or so. For you breeders out there, in the general range I mentioned, I sure appreciate those prices. It really helps us folks who don't have a lot of money to spend on the stud fees. It allows us to choose the very best stallion we can for our mare. Plus the purchase price of Davenports is about $1000-$3500 or so, I think Charles Craver set the standard on prices asked, so a higher stud fee would sure hurt when we go to sell a foal. I must say I LOVE the prices for our horses.
I understand that with the price of registering ones stallion for shipping semen, one might feel hindered in asking a stud fee of $3-450. That is why I want to put this out for discussion. Please let me know what you think!
I agree with you on stud fees. Having recently built our new home, 2 barns, and feeding all of our "critters," I want to be able to find the best stallion for our mares. I recently discovered we have a Davenport mare & will be doing more research. I'll be looking for a stallion for her for next year's breeding (we've already contracted for breeding this year). If you hear of any Davenport stallions at stud, please forward info to me.
Wow, you have been busy. Congratulations on finishing your building projects! Sorry I didn't write sooner, I haven't checked this site for a bit.
I'm very curious, who is your Davenport mare? What state do you live in? I am sure that there are probably some Davenport Stallions reasonably close to you should you decide to send your mare to stallion as opposed to artificial insemination.
There are two websites I can think of for finding a stallion. 1- Davenport_Source@yahoogroups.com
2- Al Khamsa stallion directory. go to the search erea and type in Davenport. There are about 18 stallions listed to date.
I spend most of my web time at Davenport_Source. It could be very useful to you to "drop in" and say hi!
I hope to hear from you soon Debi!
Sincerely,
Tanya
Thanks for the info, Tanya! I'll be sure to check it out! I know there is a stallion in Maryland (we're in DE). But I don't want to breed to a stallion just on his proximity. I want to find the best boy for our Keligirl - don't have a problem with AI. I'll keep you posted.
I, too, have been frustrated in my "quest" (the term was used by a breeder that I literally pestered with questions; I don't know if she knew the significance) to find the ideal equine companion. When the search led inevitably to Davenport Arabians, I could not find any information about available horses. Many of the websites I visited were not current; others did not list sales prospects. Please help. I have finally identified the horse of my dreams, but I can't find him/her!
Thanks, Iman
You need to give the Craver's a call, And ask to be put on their mailing list. They are down sizeing there herd and have many quialty horses for sale at this time, Ask Jeanne to send you the newest sales catalog and price list. The Craver's may be reached @(217)742-3415. anyone have info for a web page for craver farms ? one that list sale horses with photo's and pedigree. also know of any davenport breeders in maryland, virginia area? thanks , chris
Hello, thanks for the letter and catalog. Taking a look at everythig in the catalog, I'd like to get some more info on GF KESS and Flair CF. Both appear to be good candidates forriding/competitive/endurance for me in the future and at last have a Davenport.
I'll be home everyday, in and out except Thursday & Friday of this week. Nice hearing from you, again thanks for the letter and catalog. Looking forward to hearing from you and possibly visiting in February.
with links to an (old) catalog etc. For a current sales catalog, you would need to email Jeanne Craver. She can also give you an idea of what Davenport owners are in your area.
searching for davenports in florida-stallions at stud in florida
by
hey everyone i'm looking for davenport breeders and stallions at stud in florida . could anyone with info and or contacts PLEASE email me with any help they? thanks robin
Hello. I recently discovered that a fair portion of Arabians that caught my eye were of Davenport bloodlines. I'm not too familiar with these bloodlines but have begun researching them. Does anyone know of a Davenport stallion at public stud that is typey, super athletic, kind and under saddle? Also, this stallion must ship cooled semen successfully. Any leads would be great! Thank you very much.
HI,
HAVE YOU CONTACTED THE CRAVERS? They are at Mowarda@aol.com They have several stallions ready for shipment. I have a couple of ten year old mares and a 4 month old colt via shipment of Craver stallions. They will be most helpful.
We have a 2.5yr. Davenport Stallion and are searching for the right Davenport female for him. Our ranch is big, and our resolve to carry on the Davenport line firm. If you have any info on a possible mare that will complete our plan please let me know.
Best regards...
J. Wilson
Hi,
Our Stallion is named Bah-rani. He is just 2.5 years old and out of the Lynnwood Farms in Cedar City Utah. His mother is Persophny, and his father Ibn Don Carlos. All of them are wonderful animals.
Best regards,
J
Just in case your dreamds have not been answered...
I have been notified of a Sagwali mare about 16 or 17 yrs old, chestnut, trained to ride. She is not my mare but I have seen her and she is lovely. She is available to a Davenport home at less then $1000, I think. Her name is April Mist if you have any Davenport resources to look her up..or get back to me.
I would love a trained Davenport mare, she would have a good home. I am a timid rider, would prefer Western and road safe.
I have a lovely Davenport "Pet" the love of my life, but he is too lively for me. Wonderful barn manners and so gentle. He is trained Dressage and will not allow a western saddle on his back. the creaking of the leather and the different style is not to his liking.
He was ridden a couple of years ago by a gal that used to raise Arabians and he didn't like the hunt saddle and she had to use a dressage saddle.
But he has a wonderful home for life.
If you know of a inexpensive Davenport in the New England area. Please let me know.
These are some pasture shots from July '01 of Kim's
3-yr old colts HH Nuri Krush and HH Tareef Krush. Both
youngsters are straight Davenports of the Kuhaylan
Kurush strain.
HH Nuri Krush (gr stallion foaled Apr. '99)
(RC Janub Krush x Sarra Al Krushah)
is on the current sales list.
I am a Canadian now living permanently in Sydney Australia and am doing extensive research into Al Khamsa and "Blue" Arabians with a plan to purchase a top quality filly or mare within the next year or so. I have recently started educating myself about Davenport lines, and am VERY interested in their heritage and preservation. Does anybody know if there are any Davenport Arabians in Australia? I'm doing my research here, but thought someone over there may have some further info.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Joanne
There are two horses whose pedigrees interest me very much: one is our stallion, AB Razzmatazz, and the other is a mare that he was bred to named Somersby. She is double Jalam Al Ubayan and has various other Al-Khamsa horses in her pedigree but I do not know which, if any, were Davenport or not. The stallion has interesting aspects to his pedigree as well - Rouf, Wazvand, Gulastra, etc... is there somewhere I can go to get exact percentages of different groups on these horses? Just for the sake of curiosity.

Hello all! I do breed Straight Egyptians but have a breeding for next season to a Straight Davenport stallion. I am looking for someone willing to lease a Straight Davenport mare to me as I would really, really love a Straight Davenport foal. I have looked at them for years (8 to be exact!). Anyways, I hope to check back here once a week but to make sure I receive an answer, please email me at my home address - cnarab@ontis.com
Reluctantly offering for sale Ek Asiirah UF. She is in foal to Baile La Bamba, kaing the resulting foal double Portia and Tybalt. She is kind and sweet, pretty much unflappable. My husband has become a crop adjuster and is gone 4-5 days a week, and I can't cope all alone. Please respond to my e-mail address only.

We are pleased to announce that we have imported the Straight Davenport stallion, Jubilation CF (Riposte CF x Jonquil CF), and the Straight Davenport mare, Repartee (Ibn Alamein x Reprise), from Craver Farms, Winchester, Illinois.
Our combined source Sharp mares, Echo Dancing and FF Fantazia, will be bred to Jubilation CF this year and Karma LD (who is presently being leased by Karma Ridge Stables) will be bred to him the following year, if Sonja will give her back! Repartee will also be bred later this year when she comfortably settles in following the long trip from Illinois.
We have also purchased a yearling colt, Kismet DL (Mandarin CF x CH Iliads Takirah), from Diane Lyons of Desert Lily Arabians, Dallas, Oregon. Kismet DL will grow up here and will be an integral part of our breeding program in subsequent years.
And last, but not least, Kitty and Dennis Myers have entrusted their Blue Star mare, Jadah Abayyah, to us. Although Jadah has at least two other progeny, she has yet to produce within the Blue Star program. We intend to breed her to a Blue Star stallion here in British Columbia.
Visitors are welcome. An email would be appreciated if you plan to visit.
Congratulations, Karen. We will have a chestnut Straight Davenport stallion here shortly from Craver Farms, Winchester, Illinois, by the name of Jubilation CF and we have a bay yearling, also, Kismet DL, from Desert Lily Arabians, Dallas, Oregon.
last fall I sold several of my Davenports when my partner passed away however I kept one assuming he would be with me until the day he died. His name was Javera Trystan and I bought him from Janet Chiesna when he was 6 months old. He was my friend and companion all these years until some teen age kids we believe opened the gate around midnight at which point he and the others made their way out to the highway and he was struck and killed wednesday morning. I am thankful no one driving was hurt. He was the best horse I ever had. He let me ride him without any halter and we spent many hours riding bareback with just his halter where ever I wanted to go. He was a gem and I will miss him dearly.
I have a 1909 signed "My Quest of the Arabian Horse". I have always thought they were the lovliest of horses.
I am from NJ and was at the Chester Flea Market several years ago. I feigned disinterest upon finding this book autographed to a Morristown couple; whereupon the lady asked me if I would like to purchase it for $0.25. I said..."OK" as unexcitedly as I could and read every page that evening!
Thought you might like my story... One day, when I retire, I hope to fulfill my lifelong dream of sharing my life with a horse!

Her name is Rouge DAme GHA 384024, she is currently in need of a home ASAP as the man the has owned her for a couple of years is ill and needs the horse gone before she foals, as he doesn't have the money to feed her.
I can't take her, I am out of room and money!
PLEASE give her a davenport home where she can be treasured instead of treated like a nag with no breeding.
The man doesn't know what he has and doesn't care.
there is a link from there with some geldings as well.
The horse she is bred to is at the bottom of the link page for sale for 300.00. The mare is for sale for 1000.00 because she is broke to ride, thats what the man was told she was worth bred to a 1/2 walker, 1/2 qh.... ack!
I just noticed your message re.homes needed for Arabian horses. I assume that you have already placed the mare that was mentioned. ARe there any other horses available? I have two Arabians, one a 25 year old Aurab son and a 15/16 mare, 5 yrs old. I would like to find a reasonably priced horse, one that is, or could be rideable..I could provide a very good home. I really would like to wait until late Sept or Oct. Thanks.
Hi, I am looking for 2 kuhaylan mares to go with my two stallions. I will not be ready for them untill late summer/fall because I am expecting my third child May 5. I live in Mass if anyone is near by but don't mind shipping or picking up. If anyone has any ideas, please call or Email(508-278-0239) schreilafarm@cs.com.
Have you talked to Charles Craver in Illinois? Their email is mowarda@aol.com. I just received their catalogue of Davenport mares, stallions, and young stock. We're in Vernon, British Columbia.
I am looking for the address of a Ron Scott who used to own some Davenport horses in the early 90's. He was in Colorado, married to a lady named Ann, but I understand they were divorced. I need to find him to register a horse. Harriet
LOOKING FOR DAVENPORT STALLION IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

We have three "Sharp" mares, two of which have not been bred within the "Sharp" designation (i.e., non-Blunt). In the same breath, we are also dispersing our Al Khamsa Arabians. However, if there is a suitable stallion fairly close (we live in the North Okanagan), we would like to breed FF FANTAZIA (Ibn Muhaira x Karims Moog) in the event she does not go to a preservation breeder. AI from the US is very costly due to the value of the Canadian dollar.
We are no longer breeding our beautiful Al Khamsa horses and would like to have them continue on in a breeding program. No reasonable offer will be refused. We have three "Sharp" mares, one Straight Egyptian, and a combined source mare with the Weil Ancestral Element (sired by *Kem Safir x Kejan Fantaisha), as well other combined source bloodlines. We also have a colt with the Weil Ancestral Element (*Kem Safir x ALC Fantazar). We are about three hours from the Oroville, WA border in the Okanagan Valley of beautiful British Columbia.
please call me regarding as said horses for sale I live in Quesnel BC. I would like pedigrees on your mares for sale. You can email me at the adress i have left. It is my work adress I dont have a computer at home. thanks Karen
Sorry, I didn't see your post until I checked today. Our Straight Egyptian mare, Bar Sama Tuneia (*Tuhotmos x Bint Al Badeia), has been leased for a 2002 foal by Masada El Bahim. We have also arranged to have her bred to *Norus sometime in 2002 if all goes well.
I own a Red-Roan bay Arabian Stallion with a Rabicano (Skunk tail). I am learning there are very few Roans in the Arabian breed. A helpful aricle can be found @ www.arabian-horses.com/feature/margo/color/index.html I am curious what other responses you have had. Please share your information.
I dont think roans are really rare. My 19 yo chestnut mare EJZ Crimson Rose is a roan with blaze, 4 whites, small wihte spots, large roan patches, frosty elbows, frosty chest, belly spot and white lip. I have noticed Egyptian bred horses frequently have roan torsos. My mare is a Bask grandaughter and I understand that Bask seemed to produce chestnuts with lots of white. But his dam was a tri-color grey with that very dense pattern of spots, that retains fresh coloration throughout life. Rose`s dam was a Donoghue bred, and that line carries lots of color surprises like high white, black and lots of chestnuts, much to the chagrin of Mr. Jerry dodoghue, who preferred solid bays.
