This summer Fletcher's House of Power (7102 Antioch Road, Baton Rouge, LA, 70817) will host 3 Bench Press/Deadlift meets.
1st Meet: Saturday, June 17
2nd Meet: Saturday, July 22
3rd Meet: Saturday, August 19
I have recently secured another 1800 sq feet that will adjoin to the current location of Fletcher's House of Power. I am setting up a permanent Meet Platform that will have all the bells and whistles that we use at our national meets (ER/Combo rack, Bar Load Program, Over head projector, PA System, Music, 4 warm-up platforms and complete access to boards, bands, power racks and whatever you need to warm-up.)
Format:
Bench Press Meet will start at 9:00am. There will be a maximum of 30 lifters (2 flights). Awards to follow immediately after the event.
The Deadlift Meet will start at 1:00pm. There will be a maximum of 30 lifters (2 flights). Awards to follow immediately after the event.
Both are separate meets. Entry fee for one event will be $50.00 and includes a Meet T-Shirt. If you enter both events your entry fee will be $80.00 (includes 1 t-shirt; opportunity to win 2 awards).
These meets are unsanctioned and will not require the lifter to purchase any type of membership card.
Rules: We will follow USAPL rules for execution of the lift. Singlets do not have to be worn. Single or Double ply shirts are ok. Denim shirts are ok. Open back shirts are ok.
I am hoping to attract lifters who may not have competed in the meets that we have hosted and hopefully increase the numbers in our powerlifting community. If this format works out we may host events like this on a monthly basis.
All lifting slots will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Your entry fee will reserve your spot. This is not a meet that you will want to show up at and hope that we have not exceeded the 30 lifter roster.
