I inherited an old plainsman pellet rifle by Challenger Arms from my grandfather. It worked beautifully for the first 6 months that I had it. I live in UT so it is extremely dry. I think the rubber seal on the pump has dried out and it wont hold any air. Is there any way to restore or replace that seal. Any other ideas on what the problem might be would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

Just looking for info on this rifle. Recently bought one, and cant find much on the net. How many pumps and is it normal to get three shots with six pumps, the last one very week of course. Any info would help. I cant even find an owners manual.

I have one of these I bought new back in 1956, and can give you some general information if you like.
Basically: single shot, pump up for each shot, 8 pump strokes maximum, power varies according to number of strokes.
Very nice gun and long-lived -- obviously -- if properly cared for. There are a couple of air gunsmiths who still have parts and will work on these old guns.
If I can tell you anything more, send me a note.
Regards, RML

Is it possible to change the mainspring or seals in a Tech Force 22 cal pellet rifle to get more FPS? I have one that i just got today and it was advertised as having 600FPS but i would say it is closer to 350-400 FPS. It won't even stick a pellet in a pine 1"x4" or go through one side of a tin can from only 10 feet. Not good for a .22 cal pellet rifle. My old Crossman pump up 760 will shoot harder than that. So can anyone suggest someone that can fix this thing so it has some power?

I would like to purchase an older Benjamin 22cal pistol in good cosmetic condition. I think the model is 132 and was produced in the 40's - 60's. Thanks.

Try Auction Arms, Kitchen's Yellow Forum ads, or Crosman forum's ads. They're selling anywhere from $100 to about $130 for one in pretty good shape. I wouldn't buy one if it won't hold air when you pump it. I've bo't guns from all 3 sites. Just don't buy any "Instructions", they'll be piss poor copies of copies. If you get a 132, email me and I'll send you excellent copies of my original instructions either via email or snail mail.
These guns were made well into the '70s when I got mine.

I have come up with a Benjamin 132, 22 caliber air pistol. It was in some stuff my daughter was putting in a garage sale. It will not pump up. This one has plastic grips with Benjamin insignia. Pump handle is wood. Is there a way to repair so will pump and hold air? Also, about how old ist it? Serial # B273440.

I have an Model 132 Benjamin that needs repair. This pistal was purchased in the early 60's. Are there any repair facilities available? Does Benjamin still exist? I am looking for any information pertaining to this.
