I really have done a lot with my C-16, electronics supplements and software in the 1980´ies, but did get burned out, as an cell.phone-developer. So it has been a while since last. In my cellar is about 106 pcs. C-16´s ... I and was trying to do a lot of serious controlling of developement industry circuits with that computer. A few was sold. Now many years of beeing almoust an outsider, i Want Back. C-16 is a fine mashine for doing that "simple work" = "great work". Nowadays all PC;s are to complicated, too fast, and does not even always contain any ports for simple things. If someone has ideas, i am willing to fulfill those, if a company ... i´ll charge of cause.
But now i Would like to get some contacts with someone not beeing "game-fans" , which I´m not.
I am 47 years old and an engineer in electronics. Is there out somewhere an other, who is interested sharing information about the commodore-16 ?
I have developed a cartridge RAM-card and an I/O- card, and expanded the memory from 16K to 64K. I have written software to do use of my developement.
My rtdos account (rtdos@yahoo.com) on yahoo (and the groups I had) no longer exist. This includes my webpage. :-(
Apparently they got to me before I could shove it up their arse. Anyways I will be looking for a new place for my website and will let every one know in due time (this time not until it is ready for public consumption).
My new webpage will somehow be dedicated to rtdos and the many classic systems as well as a tie in with my groups on MSN (unless I can find a good website / chatsite combo package really really cheap).

Hi, A few eBay sellers and buyers are starting a new live chat room. If you go there and nobody is there yet be sure to check back often. It is a new room and will take a while to get up and running. We need experts and some not so expert sellers and buyers. Click on the URL below. When the chat applelet opens erase where it says "guest" and type your nickname in. On the Second line where is says channel delete the word "starchat" and type "ebayaddicted" (the room name) Leave everything else alone and then click connect now at the bottom. Happy Chatting!! by Lando
Hi All,
Sometime soon this Network54 message board will no longer be in service. The reason being we have our very own new forum which sits on our site You can find the link to this on the top menu of our new site. http://plus4.emucamp.com
So please dont post any more on this network54 one if you can help it....
As a bonus all of these messages found here on this Network54 forum have been imported to the new forum thanks to Csabo`s hard work and at the same time this preserves all the chat and intrest that`s gone on over the last few years
In the past this forum has also seen some of our C16/Plus4 hero`s comment on stuff and if you dont believe us then dig in and see what thay had to say!!! Look out for Doug Turner, Jeff Minter (yak), Patrick Strassen (PAT) and all your friend from the Plus/4 World it`s self!
Cheers for reading and happy chatting in the new one
Anyone remember a program called "Screen Save" that was used for saving code on a C16/+4 in a compressed "Novaload" like way?
As I remember you would load a game then reset the computer to the monitor. Then load the "Screen Save" program from tape.
The clever thing was it loaded to the colour map 0x0800 and lower screen map 0x0C00 so would not touch any of the actual RAM used by the program/game. I think you would then do something like G800,1000,3FFF to run "Screen Save" and save the memory in the compressed format on tape.
