Vet is clearly on top of the game - SQ would get meds into her system quicker for rapid response.
Poor wee soul, she was obviously very poorly.

That's good that the vet is going to reassess on Monday - let's hope for ALL your nerves that it leads to a switch to oral.
We're very impressed though - we've never attempted injections - trimming nails is stressful enough for us!!

You can start live yoghurt straight away - and it is advisable.
The only meds I believe you wouldn't 'mix' with live yog is tetracycline (calcium in dairy can bind with active ingredient and make it inactive, so your rat doesn't get benefit.)
But you're OK, as I don't think Tribrussen is from that family of antibiotics.

Is it another 'all-nighter' for feeding, or do you think she has stabilised enough?
