Yes, I remember having to give my Dakota a shot 3 times a day last summer for a few days. I don't know who hurt more, me or him. It is so hard to do something you know is painful! I just kept telling myself that he'd die without it (and he would have). It did help me give him his shot (and he's still around to brag about it nearly a year later). You are doing the very best you can to help Babs get better and she knows it deep down. Cuddle her all you want and there is no need to feel guilty.
