Response to Actually any of the "cyclines" need to wait at least 2 hours...

Although my adult ratties get Baytril, the young'uns get Clavamox for their resp. symptoms, which does indeed cause diarrhea. I've tried both yogurt and ProBios, and I get better results with the ProBios. It's a probiotic/gut flora replacement product about the consistency of butter that comes in a large blue and white tube, sold in feed and farm supply stores, primarily for horses and the likes... but it works just great for clearing up my ratties' diarrhea within 24 hours as well. Plus, since it's not a dairy product, there's no need to worry about it diminishing the effect of any antibiotics. I just wait about half an hour after each dose of Clavamox has been given, then I squeeze out a small amount of the ProBios onto my fingertip and let each ratty lick off an amount equal to about half a small pea. They love it (even fight over it!), and it has always cleared up any diarrhea that's developed within 24 hours tops.

Rattykisses,
