Dear Friends,
Today I had interesting situation. A have drive my car 10 km in the town traffic when I found temperature raised extremely. I've stopped for a while, coolant was gone. After adding I started again but temperature was increased too faster (5 min) even with working cooling fan ! I've checked the level of water (second add) it was normal. radiator was full, pipes too. but radiator was colder than pipes !? only middle part was hot. Strange huh. Please let me know If any body knows the answer.
Thanx

This sounds like a blocked thermostat valve, which does not open properly. The coolant inside the engine gets hot and hotter, but it cannot reach the radiator due to the closed valve. Therefore the radiator is cool, meanwhile the tubes are hot till the centre (this heat comes from the engine, NOT from the coolant inside the tube). As well, maybe the main coolant tube from the engine via the thermostat valve to the radiator is blocked, but this is unrealistical, due to the big diameter of this tube.
The reason why you lost coolant first is due to the higher pressure in the system, coolant can leafe the expansion tank in form of steam.
So, I would suggest to check your thermostat valve if it opens (just lay it in a pot of boiling water and see if it opens), and replace it if not. It won´t be a mistake to flush the complete cooling system at this time.

simply remove the thermostat, fill the cooling system with coolant or plain water, and warm the engine up - if it was a thermostat failure --> it will not boil.

After removal of pipe I found that thermostat was broken:( Now I will buy new one around 10 DM. But now I found one more bad thing - the one of 3 threads on cylinder head was damaged I must to rebuilt it.
So long pals !
