hi,
need some help with my R11T its a 89 phase 2 in black perfect condition i ordered loads of parts for the engine for a r5 cos i think there the same but before i fitted them the engine blew!long story short conrod came through the block!!so i know need a replacement engine for it and was wondering if yous knew if the r5gtt ph2 engine is exactlly the same as mine so i can just put it in because there easier got than a r11t engine??

engine numbers are not the same .. so it are different engines.
it,s very hard to find a 11 turbo fase 2 engine (or buy a new one)
i have a new engine , for reserve .. but i,m not selling it .sorry
The best thing is to put a 5 gt turbo engine in you,re car... it will fit, no problem.

As you will know 11 turbos are extremely rare. I had a phase 2 between 1999-2003 and only ever saw 3 others since ownership. And parts are as rare as rocking horse sh**
I have a devil staight through exhaust for sale for this car which has had aproximatley 500 miles of road use. (almost new)

The 5 engine will drop straight in.. but ive heard from someone putting an 11Turbo engine in the 5.. it felt a bit quicker.. plus also its a slightly stronger block for some reason. Shove a 5 Engine in the 11. will still be very quick!!
I just bought a Devil Exhaust christian.. Fitting it tommorow (thursday).. not sure what to expect sound wise but heard nothing but good about these systems, but that could be why they were made for Renault
