What is wrong with msntv's mail? The whole time I used webtv the mail was the only thing that seemed to work ok. The problem is with webtv and not yahoo or any other mail server. Even if you do find another email account that works good with webtv, it will work today but, probably not for long as the rest of the internet is upgrading and leaving the door-stop behind.
