I have used webtv/msntv2 for years now so I am familiar with their "updates" but today was the first time this happened.
I turned my system on and I got no picture. I unplugged it. Then plugged it back in only to get a message that they were doing an update that would last 4 and a half hours. And if I turned my system off, when I turned it back on it again, the update would start back up where it left off. Yadda, yadda, yadda. So I left my system on and 4 and a half hours later it starts up again only to show me a screen that makes it seem like I am starting up msntv2 for the first time. I immediately thought I was going to lose all my favorites and e-mails that were saved if it started over. But I typed in the info they needed and it starts up or so I thought. I then get another message that I am receiving yet another update that will last 7 minutes. So we go through the 7 minutes and everything starts up and I check my favorites, and e-mail and such and everything is okay. I didn't lose anything.
I guess my question, in this long ramble, is this...
Has this happened to anyone before? And if so, what did they do in the update?? Because it seems to be running as sucky as it was before the so called updates.
