My artist friend Julie gave me your book to read...I'm thouroughly enjoying it ! I've been a gypsy art fair artist since the early 80's, and have been painting miniature dimensional watercolors of interiors since 1992. I call my body of work "Rooms with a view" and I do about 15 art fairs a year, all in the midwest. My husband Paul, who teaches computer graphics and animation, has been a major help through the years, and our two daughters now 15 and 10 have learned to love travel, and visiting new places...now it helps to bring along extra friends to make our trips more fun for them. Needless to say I also love your work...the interiors are fabulous! In addition, your van sounds really great..is it still alive and well? Any way, thanks for putting in writing what life is like for many artists...I can't remember how many times artists I know, including myself, have said, "I should write a book about this"! ...It is an interesting life, and I wouldn't do anything else! We've met the most wonderful people through the years, and many of our best friends are artists.
Thank you again, Dori... Laura Meddaugh, Madison, WI.
