Response to Is it possible to buy cases from Ickler?

Hi Dave,

Each case is specifically designed for the diameter and thickness of movement that it houses. I collect vintage watches myself, and there is no easy option to recase them other than finding a NOS case for a similarly sized movement, refinishing a used case, or having one made from scratch, which is very expensive. We are a major case manufacturer, and the vast majority of the cases we make are designed and manufactured specifically for the 'end watch' that they will be used for, including those used on our own Limes models. These are not available to purchase. We do make some 'generic' cases, but designed for certain ETA movements only - the 2824, 2892, and 7750, I think. These are available for purchase to other watch brands, and are made to order, in quanties of at least 25 each. Even if one were to fit, I don't think this would be a viable option for an individual.

Best regards,

Steven Limes US
