Outback, waterresistant 100m

A friend of mine told me about the general rule on a chrono pilot type automatic watch's ability to resist water. Is this true ? and how good is Limes Outback's casing seals ?

Warning, it is not designed to wear in the water, so don't make that
mistake. It is after all a pilots watch. Splashing from yard work or in
the rian is OK but not swimming, bathing, etc.
