Advice from Limes Forum

I have become aware of the Limes Watches brand and Ickler GmbH through watchfinder.net, timezone.com and limeswatches-us.com. I am very impressed by what I have learned about your products and the Ickler history. I understand that Ickler is a very reputable case maker and am interested in finding out for whom they produce cases and private label watches for ? Perhaps you can provide some input and guidance in helping me make the right choices for (A) purchasing a Limes watch for reliable Secondary Watch and (B) providing input in helping in my selection for an established brand primary watch---mechanical with in-house movements. Please note that I am not a watch collector, but do wish to make smart purchases that I can wear with pride and distinction. My preference is a German watch, though I would not rule out Swiss (I am of part German heritage with family from the Munich area; but I enjoy my Stuttgart-made Mercedes 560SEC coupe).

A. LIMES WATCH - As a secondary backup watch to wear for sports and as an all-around "beater", it seems that Limes offers the best value for the money. I have identified the Nightflight 2 Zeiger Datum, Outback 2 Automatic, and the 2Hundert with Rubberized Strap. Budget for secondary watch is around $500. Any suggestions on these?

B. ESTABLISHED BRAND - PRIMARY WATCH - It would be great get the forum's input in my quest for a watch from an established brand (mechanical w/ in-house movements) that will go with everything from a suit to jeans and a tee shirt. A watch that goes well with casual wear as well as with occasional understated jewelry (three-toned gold ring, gold & silver bracelet). I would be looking for a sense of distinctiveness, an understated elegance and something I can eventually pass on to one of my sons (possible heirloom?). Preference is to have something more unique that is not worn by the masses. Budget for this primary watch would be in the range of $3.5k. The ones I have researched and appeal to me are Glashutte Original Panorama Date (Gold or Steel) , Chronoswiss Lunar, or IWC GST Automatic (Stainless). Someone had recommended a Rolex Datejust, but it appears to be worn by the masses and is not a unique watch. I'm certainly aware of the higher end Limes models (e.g. Pharo) and won't rule those out as a future purchase. Of the following watches, which would the forum recommend?
1. Glashutte Original Panorama Data (Gold or Steel)
2. Chronoswiss Lunar
3. IWC GST Automatic (Stainless)

Feedback from the forum on the above items A and B would be greatly appreciated. Also, from Herr Thomas Ickler and Mr. Steven Walker.

Vielen Dank and Thank You from Arizona USA.

Eric
