The ETA Peseux 7001 as used in the Pharo HW is a very highly respected movement. As for these 2 choices I see the watches as pretty different. The Pharo is a dress watch ( athough the black dial is a bit sportier than the silver ) and the Outback Auto is a rugged sports watch. You might also consider a Principio Auto which is a little dressier than the Outback - or the new Principio Gangreserve.
I feel that the Principio Gangreserve, out of all our models, is the best at 'dressing up' or 'dressing down'. I could wear this watch with a dark formal suit, or a t-shirt and jeans.
