Any other NF2 owners notice this behavior w/ the crown? (more)

When I am screwing the crown in on the watch, it looks as if the manual winding mechanism is still engaged. You can see the saw small gears (perpendicular to each other) turning as you screw the crown in.

I have tried gently pulling the crown out all the way and reseating it but it never seems to be disengaged from the winding mechanism. (I hope I explained this well enough).

Steven, what do you make of this?
