I guess your response is what I expected but not what I hoped to hear. Isn't it a shame that a watch that is capable of COSC accuracy is OK when it it is 20 sec a day fast? Any watch being off 20 sec a day is not acceptable to me. Is it fair that some people buy this watch and get one that is within 5 sec a day, and others paying the same money for the same watch get one that is 20 seconds off day, and the manufacturer says that's OK? As a customer, I think my money is as good as the next guys and I should get a watch every bit as good as the next guy's watch which is the best possible example of that watch. Shouldn't and couldn't there be more uniformity in quality control? You might argue that I could pay more and get a COSC watch, but I would argue that I can pay less and get watches that are guaranteed to be more accurate than 20 sec per day.
You prove my point that buying a mechanical watch is like playing the lottery. You pay your money and take a chance at getting a good one. I don't like the game.
