is designed with the automatic winding system as the primary method of winding the watch. Winding via the crown on any ETA auto, and all autos that I know of, puts a little more stress on the winding system than winding it with the rotor. Also screwing and unscrewing the crown needlessly is never recommended. Winding a watch using the rotor is so incredibly easy - just 2 minutes rotating your wrist, with the watch in the palm of your hand - that it's preferable method for ANY automatic watch.
