As a case manufacturer, and for Limes Watches, Ickler only uses unplated high Palladium content White Gold. For WG to NOT need any plating, it must have a very high Palladium content. The WG we use is 16 % Palladium. Palladium is very expensive - over twice the cost of Gold. We have to charge $750 more for our WG Handwound, than our RG Handwound. This WG alloy is more difficult to work with than others. Unplated high Palladium content White Gold is used almost exclusively by watch brands in the extreme high end of the luxury classs. I know of no watches other than Limes with an MSRP of under $7500 using it. This is the only type of WG we use.
