A Few Questions

Hello,

I have read a lot about Limes watches lately both here and on the timezone website and have no issue with quality and am really looking forward to owning a wonderful timepiece.

I am on the verge of purchasing the handwind Limes Pharo SS/Gold and had some general questions.

Firstly, and this is the "dumb" question what does "Limes" mean? Is it just a name? Whose name? Or is it just a made-up brand name with no particular meaning? I could not find an answer on any of the websites.

Second, how new is the "Limes" brand name? Is it possible to find a vintage Limes wristwatch? (i.e. from the 60s and before?)

Third, can we get a picture of the deployment clasp? Are they made in-house or bought from a supplier?

and lastly, is the crown on this watch gold plated or solid gold?

Thank you for taking the time on this forum to answer our questions.

Oscar
