Response to Limes quality

Limes makes a nice watch, and a great value in the mechanical watch market. Part of the reason Limes watches are a good value is that they do not have the history (though many would argue that it is in part a marketing, public relations, product placement, "snob appeal", etc., history) of an older company like Rolex. Watch-lovers buy watches for many reasons, though. Would you get a lifetime of good service out of a Limes? Probably. Is the Limes case as well finished as Rolex? It looks as good to me. Is the movement in a Limes as rugged as a Rolex movement? Probably not. How does the Rolex compare in ruggedness (or time-keeping) to a Casio G-Shock? The Casio is MUCH better.

Limes watches are quite new, and, so far, James Bond hasn't worn one. I doubt they'll be "collectable" for many years, unless the company goes out of business before many watches are made. I think there is a new Bond movie in the works, though... .
