I have been very interested in astronomy for about 3 years, and already have telescope. It's incredibly cheap, and can't see much, and I have been looking to but a much better one for about 2 years. I am so lost! I don't know what brands are good or not. I've read articles and internet sites warning against certain brands, and then other saying those brands are excellent!
I'm looking to buy a scope in the range of about $400-$800 right now, because I don't have very much at the time. I'm just very confused. I know what all the jargon means, its just finding a reliable brand for a fair price right now.
I welcome comments from owners of good scopes, and opinions of people who have bought terrible ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
