Response to Mmmm

Hi Richard - I could really see the aforementioned objects with my little scope? That would be enough for me!!!

My wife and I just got into astronomy and we love it. I used to live in Hawaii and I gotta tell you; I've never seen so many stars; at least 2500 on a typical night. I currently live in Maryland and I live in a really lighted area, close to the city, so the skies are really bright. I haven't had a chance to take my telescope to the country, but after the information I got from you, I'm really look forward to it. Are the skies clear at your location?

By the way, great website and many thanks!!!

Patrick

PS - I heard that there were at least 5 planets visible on April 30, 2002. Were you able to see these planets that evening? Unfortunatly, we had cloudy skies and I missed the opportunity, but I did have the pleasure of seeing Saturn and Jupiter a week earlier.
I was so excited!!!
