2 million of 7 million greece were members of EAM and 50,000 members of 2 million EAM were members of ELAS who consisted of Macedonian-Slavs. Only they gave a great resistence against germans in greece during the WW2. Rest of the greeks were passive. However, Churchill had decided to cut the support towards ELAS at the end of the war. He sent Anthony Eden, the minister of foreign affairs of UK, to Stalin secretly for discussing the sharing of Balkans in October 1943. According to the agreement in Yalta, it had been decided that greece would remain under British and American control while Bulgaria and Romania would get under Soviet control.

Having been guaranteed the future of greece, Brits and Americans started to weaponizing nazi greeks against Macedonian ELAS. Greeks waited until Macedonians destroyed the germans and then, they started to destroy Macedonian villages in the southern Macedonia.

That's the typical greek way. They get under control of others nations till the others save themselves first. Then they ambush them co-operating with others...it seems there will no longer be the others who's gonna save them in future.
