Notes:
The demise of the Brooklin Redmen has been greatly exaggerated –true. You need a program to know the team – true. Both these statements have been made in the past few days. The Redmen put up a spirited effort against the Lakers and could have won except for a few lapses on defence and giving up two shorthanded goals. Prout was not in the line up.
Latest trades. The Redmen have acquired Barrett Church and the rights to Shawn Cardy and a pick for Pat McCready. Stapleford was obtained for cash and a pick.
For an old guy like me, I better get used to change. Lakers in newly designed sweaters and a changing in the guard for Brooklin. It will be an interesting season with the ability of the Major teams to use their Senior ‘B’ affiliates.
