Shenanigans -
At 18:57 of the second period, Frank Littlejohn and Mark Rodgers decided to discuss the merits of the heat - which team is hotter. A number of blows were exchanged. Littlejohn knocked Rodgers to his knees with a punch to the nose. Rodgers decided to get up again and was promptly met with the same result. Rodgers wound up with a bloody nose. Both received 5 mins for fighting.
Shawn Cardy of Brooklin decided to ditch his black knee high socks and it affected his game. After 13 games he spent no time in the sin bin, but without his socks he picked up 2 minors for a total of 4 mins. One for checking in the crease and the other for slashing.
Notes:
A shoot out at the OK corral. A game where the last shot last goal would win. Up and down action for the whole game. Credit to the players on a hot night. On the whole, tempers were kept in check.
