Shenanigans -
At 16:40 of the third period Scott Campbell slashed Tim O’Brien. O’Brien retaliated by roughing Campbell and then it escalated into fight. None of the punches really landed and O’Brien wrestled Campbell to the floor. It appeared that O’Brien twisted his ankle during the altercation as he limped noticeably to the penalty box. Campbell was assessed 2 mins for slashing and 5 mins for fighting. O’Brien received 2 mins for roughing and 5 mins for fighting.
Notes:
Brooklin came out fired up and scored that important first goal. Brooklin was able to maintain the lead throughout the game. They out hustled Brampton and were able to go inside and capitalize on their opportunities. A lot of Brampton’s shots were from the outside and Nash was able to get a good view and make the stop. When needed Nash stopped Brampton on three break aways.
