Shenanigans –
At 8:32 of the third period Ryan Harris of Brooklin and Scott Luckhardt of Owen Sound engaged in a scrimmage during a line change in front of the Brooklin bench. A lot of clutch and grab earned each player 2 mins for roughing.
At 16:27 of the third period, Bud Wye of Brooklin was retrieving a loose ball behind his net and was run over by Andrew Reid of Owen Sound. Duke McNutt came to the aid of his goalie and received 2 mins for roughing. Reid came out of the melee with no penalty.
Hostilities continued as Brooklin tried to tie or win the game. At 19:05 Rob Fodor and Chris King dropped the gloves in the corner. A number of punches were exchanged and King wound up with a cut on his forehead that required stitches. Both players received 5 mins for fighting.
After Brooklin’s seventh goal at 19:53 of the third period, Ryan Harris and Mike Kirk did some wrestling on the floor. Kirk received 2 mins for checking from behind, and Harris 2 mins for roughing plus a game expulsion for his fifth penalty in the game.
