Shenanigans –

At 9:31 of the second period, Cody Jacobs showed his frustration by pulling of Alex Henderson’s helmet and wrestling him to the ground. Both players received 2 mins for slashing. Six Nations showed their frustration on their inability to score by taking 3 consecutive 5 min major penalties. The first by Cody Jacobs for roughing, the second by Dave Ellis for high sticking, and the third by Daylin Logan for slashing.

Notes:

The Whitby Warriors played a solid defense allowing Six Nations little opportunity to score on the inside. A lot of potential outside shots never made it to the net. Ian Crashley stopped at least three- one with his helmet, one with his body, and one with his leg.

The Six Nations coach was so upset with the play of his team that he marched them, without showers, straight onto the bus after the game.

The game was televised for tape delay on Saturday. Player of the game for Whitby was Kyle O’Brien, for Six Nations Mitch Nanticoke, and Toshiba player of the game was Matt Savoie of Whitby.

As the Rev, father of Dayne Boatswain, said “the score said it all”.
