Pete Campbell is still a shit. But his wife's a bit annoying too. I've had girlfriends who wanted to start something heavy RIGHT at bedtime. (NOT you, Kitty!) It's extremely unpleasant.
Oh, and that Freedom Riders bus? With that suspension, you just KNOW that every guy on that bus has a raging boner. Beardo's is the smallest, of course.

I'm so creepy, the highlight for me was Alzheimery Dad reaching out for a grope on his daughter -- I thought Don was gonna have a cow! Or was it something else...hey! we have something in common! both our dads were/are creeps, he thinks!
When he suggested 'goin' to have a milkshake' I gut-laughed - 'didn't you just give him one?'
Oh dear. So I love Betty's...old, wise nanny? She seems to know a lot.
I thought Pete was gonna let his mommy have it for a minute there.
I wish Peggy could go to LA with Don.
Now...I don't understand why we spent such a lonnnnng boring time with Betty and that kid. The minute she suggested she wash his clothes, and I thought, OH NO, DON'T PUT YOURSELF IN THAT POSITION! YIKES! SEND HIM HOME RIGHT NOW!
She got into enough trouble with the lock of her hair last year. Why would she want to go inviting trouble...
I don't get Don when it comes to Betty. He has to pick a story and act it out. If he's pretending he really did nothing, he has to treat her like that. "We're spending XX dollars a week on a hotel because you believe some stupid jealous little creep who has the hots for you, nothing happened!"
Instead he sort of stands around waiting for her to get over an "IT" he claims never happened, meanwhile he's behaving like she's right and he's waiting for her to forgive him.
Ya gotta admit that floor scene was pretty hot.
I couldn't believe she actually got him to sleep on the floor in the first place, though. The gentleman/wuss line was blurring for me there.
So do we think something will happen to Peggy's sis and Pete Campbell will end up inadvertently adopting his own kid???? could be....

I didn't find the floor scene all that hot just because I never find boy/girl scenes all that hot. I like lesbians. But other than that, you nailed it.

whatever happened to Joan Holloway's roomate from the first season? The one that had adored her since college?
They never followed that up at all.
My other favorite scene last night was when Pete Campbell made the suggestion to his brother that they knock off their mother -- "Did you see 'Rope'!?" and they both chuckled away.
He sooo WOULD idolize those murderer guys. He thinks he's better than almost everybody, he stole mail off Don's desk and tried to blackmail him with it, he threw Freddie to the wolves, he'd probably buy a baby off the street if it would shut his wife up and make him golden with his rich in-laws...
One last thing:
One episode ended with Don tying Bobbie up in a hotel room and leaving her that way 'cause she'd gossiped about him. The next episode showed them at the party celebrating the tv show, all chatty and smiling.
? I guess I should be taping these, since the show might go the way of Twin Peaks at some point, which creatively tanked after the first 8 episodes. Those first 8, though....
