Up for sale is my manual Taig Micro Mill. It is the older model 2019 with a 3 1/2 x 18 1/2 inch table and 12 inches of travel in the 'X'. It has the original threaded spindle, not the newer ER16 spindle. I haven't used it in a while and the space where it's sitting would be perfect for a surface plate. I have access to all the mills I could ever need at work and a Tree in the garage so it's time to let someone else have fun with it.
It's in good overall condition. The gibs could probably stand an adjustment but it's reasonably tight for a manual machine. The one area where it could probably use some tweaking is the motor mount. The motor has a tendency to sit a little tilted and as a result it's a little tough on belts. I've gone through around 4 since I got it. It's one of those things I always meant to change but never got around to it.
The table has some dings in it in one area. I always had the vise sitting to the right of the dings so they never really caused any problems for me but you should be aware of them. See pics below.
Included with the mill are:
4 sets of small step blocks
2 sets of small step clamps
2 small angle plates
An assortment of aluminum T-slot nuts. Most are 1/4-20 threaded, some are 10-32
4 1/4-20 hex nuts
An assortment of mostly stainless 1/4-20 cap head screws and studs
A set of small parallels prefect for a precision screwless vice. Used but in decent condition. Includes 7/8, 3/4, 5/8, and 1/2
A T-handle allen wrench for adjusting the motor position
4 older style steel WWA tool holders. Includes 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2.
A WWA boring head adapter and Enco boring head. Not the greatest quality head but it's better than nothing.
Drill chuck adapter and Craftsman branded ~1/16-3/8 Jacobs chuck with key. I pulled the chuck off an old hand drill that died. It's not a bad little chuck.
Slitting saw adapter.
A like new set of Taig collets. I used one collet once. I preferred the solid tool holders.
A cheap-o center finder gauge. I never use the thing so I'm throwing it in.
The two blocks behind the parallels are something I made for a project. I needed to raise up the vise about a 1/2" so I threw two roughly 1" x 3.5" x 1/2" blocks of 1018 steel on a precision grinder and ground the two surfaces. They're parallel to within less than .0005 which was plenty good for what I needed them for. I no longer have a need for them so I'm throwing them in.
The drill bit sets, boring bars, and anything else that's behind the mill are not included.
I'd like to get $600 plus shipping for the package. That's around half what I paid. No Paypal with this unless you're willing to cover the fees.
Post here or email me if you have any questions. And now for the pics:
