I'm trying to figure out how some of you guys get automatic posts of pictures or of the list of your cars when you respond to a topic. Is it really automatic or do you have to manually do it everytime. Maybe I have to have a premier membership...I donno, HELP...thanks guys

It goes in your signature.

Click on the Formated Text Signature and the box opens up and fill in what you want.

I believe if you edit your signature

July 8 2008, 3:03 PM

to include a link to a third party web site or your choosing which is holding your picture (sized appropriately) you should be able to past in an image link to the signature at the bottom of this posting page and it will pull the image from the third party site.

For example i added (http...//i140.photobucket.com/albums/r19/TorinoBP88/IMG_1334.jpg)

with ... replacing : for this above example) but see pic below.

Some egomaniacs here

July 8 2008, 3:44 PM

Have to post a picture so large it falls off the screen. They irk me. We have a prohibition on language. So I am limited on how I can express myself. Whoops, I forgot, all who are into FE's just want to see YOUR precious stuff plastered all over the screen all the time.

Internet connection speed is not an issue for 99.9% of the people on this forum.
I LIKE seeing the pictures of peoples cars. If you don't like it that's fine, but don't bitch about it when you are so clearly in the minority.

So what's the problem?

If you have "the fastest internet connection there is" it shouldn't affect your forum viewing.

What's the issue?

Here's a nice pic from today!

I think the "Problem" is the oversize

July 8 2008, 11:17 PM

signature pictures, which we discussed before and many rectified and the need to list every vehicle you own, past present or future. I'm all for something current and FE related, but don't care to know about your wifes BMW, Toyota SUV or the Yugo you have out back, waiting for restoration. It's a waste of forum space IMO.

Let's just try to keep the info relevent.

The problem is

July 9 2008, 5:17 AM

Like most here, I want to read the information, not have the pictures wider than the window so I have to scroll back and fourth doing it, and worse, get distracted by those stupid moving things. I really don't need to see animated boobs bouncing, and engines running. Got enough of those things for real.

You shouldn't have to...

July 8 2008, 5:02 PM

If you click the + arrow In the "Formatted Text Signature" box you should see your signature and the address of your picture if you have one. My computer remembers it.

The pictures in my signature

July 8 2008, 5:31 PM

are hosted on PhotoBucket. While at my PhotoBucket account, I did a right click on the thumbnail picture and then click 'Properties' to find out the link or source. Then I copied and pasted that same link into my signature. From then on, it's always there unless I go back and delete that link. But keep in mind you can only access your signature after clicking on 'Post Now' when your in the process of posting, unlike other forums I've seen.

Right on guys! Those pictures look great.

July 9 2008, 10:51 AM

You're doing good. I can't tell for sure with some of ya, if the picture is in your signature or just the regular posting space. If you want the picture to always appear in your signature, just remember to scroll to the bottom when you're in posting mode and then click on Formatted Text Signature. Then put the link for your picture, right there.
