...The left wants us weened off fossil fuels so they legislate bans to drill for oil in America and cease with new refinery production which, in turn, created our dependency on foreign oil which is held hostage to OPEC price regulation and futures market speculation, which drives up prices because foreign markets can & will sell to burgeoning markets for oil, like China and India, which creates more demand than ever before for oil, driving the price per barrel to record highs, leaving us with no outlet for our own oil to counter the costs of foreign oil, and literally driving inflation up as each consumable good has the costs of increased shipping tacked onto the price tag, to include food & clothing. But, still, the left will fight to keep us from drilling our own oil at the expense of our nation's economy, which is why I'm kind of hoping Obama gets elected, so we can point a finger at somebody when this whole mess settles into a nasty recession.
