I dont believe the Bible tells you any specifications of where you need to tithe just that you have to do it. Its not a option, its a command. I would say just look for the place that uses the money as Jesus would have used it. This limits you as not many organizations nor churches are truly "Great Commission" minded. The reason for tithing is to help fulfill Christ's perfect plan: Salvation for a lost and dying world. If your church is more driven by building maintenance and aesthetics then I agree with you. Maybe they dont need your money.
