Anyway, I visit my brother in San Diego, and he hands me a Gamo spinger with a 4X scope to shoot an infestation of rabbits. The rifle was from Cabelas, and I assume the 4X scope was part of a package. It was crazy, I could not hit squat. I could barely manage to get an erratic 2 inch group at 10 yards! I think it was the scope.
So, are spingers that sensitive to hold/technique?
Was the scope bad?
Is the gun junk?
Ammo?
I was shooting a 177 pellet with a BB glued in the center. It was the only ammo available. I shoot in the same hole at 10 yards with my compressed air rifles.
For reference, what would be a good low cost scope that will hold up to a springer?
