When Kris Krangle was a young man, and started on his own,
To deliver Christmas Gifts, to each and every home.
He married Mrs. Santa, found his Rein-deer and pray,
“Oh Lord, Please help me to make a Flying Sleigh.
Chorus:
So the sleigh that Santa rides, each year on Christmas Eve,
Was designed by God, to fit all of Santa’s needs.
Crafted by the Angels, who blessed it one by one,
Giving it to Santa, in honor of God’s Son.
Verse Two:
Built from a piece of Gods own Throne, to withstand the speed,
Upholster in the Robe of Christ, so Santa would not freeze.
Handed down to Santa, On his first Christmas day,
In Answer to his Prayer, Make a Flying Sleigh.
Verse Three:
So each year at Christmas time, when you make your request,
By writing Santa a letter tell him of things that you like best.
He tries his best to bring it, sometimes there’s no way,
So many little toys, to fit into his sleigh.
Even though I really like this song, I have one place that dosen't feel right. At the last of the third verse, I believe that a young child reading or hearing this, (and you never know who or when) may feel that another child was more important, because their toy was delivered. And since there is only so much room, it must surly go by importance, or so a child may think.
I know that you were trying to provide a child's explantion to an adult's situation, but, You may consider keeping the wonderment of Christmas intact.
