just wanted to say that i'm glad this site is here. i got curious a few weeks ago after hearing two interviews with peter lance, in which he outlined his theory (probably not solely "his" theory) that the downing of flight 800 was the result of a bomb. lance has ramzi yousef masterminding or, at least, participating in the crash/bombing/explosion/whatever.

one thing that has puzzled me... why would the gov't keep this a secret if, in fact, it wasn't some fuel tank malfunction or whatever they've said it was? please don't flame me for being naive. i've read 1984 and have been reading about cover-ups, etc., for a while. to me, this situation bears more than a passing resemblance to the oklahoma city bombing (terrorists in the US, most likely with foreign terrorist/gov't connections; "cover-up" by the US gov't)... in both cases, at least with the supposed Iraq/OKC connection, i would think that the current administration would be shitting their pants to get this information out there.

i posted a similar query on guerillanews' "conspiracy theories" message board but have yet to hear anything back. the site is temporarily "unavailable." (AH! the men in black have arrived!). i just googled TWA 800 and this was the first site that popped up.

anyways, some of the posts i saw were in reference to things like, "does anybody still care?" i think the answer is yes. in the last month, as i said before, i heard two interviews regarding 800. one, on the john bachelor show, ABC radio. the other, of course, on coast to coast AM. between those two shows i'd guess a couple of million people got an earful. here's hoping that something comes of this.

thanks, and keep it up,
craig

Why goverement coverup

November 28 2004, 12:03 AM

It is common knowledge the Isreali intelligecne had evidence important enough to pass on to CIA about hijacking/sabotage of US airliner. 12 hours before indident fax was recieved by newspaper in London claiming a "Jihad" against America. It is my opinion after following this for 1 year that the plane was most likely brought down by a US made stinger missle originally given to the "freedom 0in Afganistan by the CIA, who would later morph into Al-Queda. So you can now see why the goverment would want to cover-up rather than explain how a US made missle was covertly shipped to Afganistan in the mid 80's, left unused and unaccounted for after war against Russsia ended, smuggled back into America and used against Americans. This by the way is the definition of "Blowback".

Michael’s explanation is poor in my opinion because it misses the point of why the government during the 1990’s would prefer to down play Islamic terrorism.

For starters American made planes were used to kill thousands of Americans on 9/11. French and Russian equipment kill Americans and British in Iraq. My point is, when a criminal kills someone with a handgun you don’t blame the gun manufacture.

Who cares where the missile was manufactured. What is more horrific is the great lengths our government went to avoid taking the threat of Islamic terrorism seriously. Namely, avoiding what would most likely be a lengthy and politically unsavory war against Islamic radicals in order to maintain political power.

One should also lay blame on the mainstream media whom continually to do a poor job at uncovering the extent of the Islamic war against America.

However, eventually the terrorists would strike so hard one day, most sane Americans would understand that something must be done.

Yet…

Even today far left liberals often downplay the threat of terrorism while preferring to demonize our president for taking the fight to our enemies. Some like Michael Moore, act like 9/11 never happened and tell us there is no terrorist threat.

at first, read Peter Lance two books "Cover Up" and "1000 years for revenge". There he describes why TWA 800 was blew up, how it hapened and why it has been covered up...all based on facts .... not on theories

You are wrong about the terorist threat against America. don't you se, your government(Mr. Bush & Co) are trying to scare you(and they have sucseeded). Try to read the news from other contrys. The government controls your media. We here in sweden knows sooooooooo much more about what has hapened i Irak, in the war against terrorism...about everything that is going on whith your contry, do you know how many terorists from Al Queda that have been captured?.....zero! a few terorists have been captured but noone that they can connect with al queda or bin laden....hmmm...why havent they captured any Al queda terrorists?... maby becaus it is no organized Terror network, but just a small group confuzed islamists! read the news and search for facts...see the documentary "The Power of a Nightmare" for example.

now I´m tired of writing

I'm no al quida lover, BUT

May 30 2006, 11:19 AM

I just finished watching "Loose Change" and it made a very good case for our government being behind 9/11, an idea I've always harbored. And, I just read the posting I am responding to saying Flight 800 was shot down by a missel, which I also believe. BUT, we always seem to blaim it on the Arabs. As I said, I'm no Al Quida lover but, I think the flight 800 thing was either a mistake by our Air National Guard or an on-purpose test to see if it could be done without casting suspician on the governement. Note, John Kennedy Jr.'s plane went down in the same general area as flght 800. That's something to think about.

i don't think you can find fault with who made the missile, but you can with whom they got it from. you don't give knives to children.
.. al-qaeda might be a bunch of confused islamists but they're dangerous and need to be dealt with. if anything, the media is biased against the war.
wake up and strap a set on!
