I have a cabin in Manitou that I visit every summer. I know the area very well...but cant seem to find a body of water that is not a river/stream/creek that allow dogs. Seems like every body of water around Manitou is used for drinking water or something and they dont allow dogs in the water.
I am curious where a nice body of water is with beautiful scenery that I can let my dogs off their chains and swim and enjoy themselves.
I figured Colorado guy would have some input.
I saw a photo on this site where a lady from Texas(like myself) took her two german shepherds and let them swim at a place 15 minutes west of Buena Vista. I cant find my way back to that part of your site for some reason. I wouldnt mind knowing where that was along with other good areas.
