Why should The USA care what europe thinks? We had to save them in WW I Save them in WW II then save them from the USSR. Every time there is a problem in the world its USA that is forced to try and fix it. The Middle East is a problem the Europeans created and once again its the USA that has to spill its blood to try and find a solution. Russia is making a killing selling weapons to terrorists, Germany has been caught doing the same. France will sell weapons to thier worst enemy if a profit can be made. Spain is a mess Greece isn't much better. I won't even talk about the Warsaw pact countries.
This said do we really need to care about Europe? England is the only country over there that is atleast trying to make a difference. This do largely to the influence Margrete Thatcher had.

Most of us think you are the biggest threat to world peace today. Iraq is a total mess, Our government is just as bad though, following Bush like a the not so tough kid he hides behind his big brother to backup threats.

I am a 33 y.o. Belgian (Belgium is in the center of Europe, above France and under Netherlands) citizen and I have lived and studied in Boston (MA) during a few years, between 19 and 22 years old. I went back many times since then, on holiday.

I agree to the fact that USA came to rescue the "old europe" many times... WWI, WWII, the cold war... and stupid Europeans seem to have forgotten that ! without USA we would probably be speaking german by now in my country... Nazis were occupying our countries and US soldiers came and to free us. how ungratefull it is to have forgotten this in only 60 years !!!

of course, USA should apply te politics it wants.. it should not care about what europeans think (anyway those who critisize USA never actually WENT to the great country of freedom ! and they dont know what they are talking about !!!)

also, the succesfull always attracts jealousy from the others who do not have the save life ! and this is what is happening with the USA and the rest of the world... jealousy. because you guys in the US have the strongest economy in the world, the best army by far, the biggest country also, with free and wild spaces europeans would never dare dreaming about... you have also the biggest cars ! (I love american cars, and V8 blocks from detroit , etc...etc... )

Now, ON THE OTHER HAND... one country should not attack another country like USA did on Irak, WITHOUT the conscent of UN !!!!! even if you are the big USA, you should agree with the decisions of the UN, otherwize, it's like playing a big monopoly, but the strongest richest player decides not to respect the rules like the others have to ... this is not right.
....but I have to admit that Muslims are on some kind of holy war right now and since a few years, and USA is the only country who really defends itself and have the courage to take real actions to say : "we are not afraid of you ! BACK OFF !!!". an I admire that even if this means war and all the bad things connected to it.... after all, who started that **** by sending planes to kill innocents people in the big apple in 2001 !?

Once again, USA is the only country strong and courageous enough to stand and face the agressor !

I live and work in Belgium, but I would go back to live and work in Massachussets if I could. but, as a foreigner, I am not allowed to join the Police or the Army in USA.. (am a police officer here)
so I just live here, but I keep the american way in my heart !!
