Hey Ardent,
you can get this for me on my next b-day...
---------
HOUSE: Why are you suspicious?
WILSON: Because it's either that or accept the fact that you've done something nice and then I have to deal with the horsemen and the rain of fire and the end of days.

New Bowie Book. wewww, slick!
I hope it has a hard book sleeve
and an anthology of of his back catalog.
It would be handy to have, so that you could
easily listen to old stuff from the nineteen
and seventies that might be hard to get a hold of.
.... Maybe even an interview; and a Christmas song
with Bing Crosby. Bob Dylan's book was really good.
I hope this is something like that.

One of the earliest uses of a hologram in Science-fiction was in the film "The Man Who Fell to Earth", made in 1976 director Nicholas Roeg, starring David Bowie as an alien from outer space.
Throughout the film we get brief glimpses of the alien's family left behind on their desert world. In one shot we see his wife holding up a multiplex hologram. The action is cut in with a shot of Bowie on Earth, taking family snaps with a camera. The correlation is clear: the hologram is the family photo of the future. This is a rare use of holography in film, because although the context is purest science fiction, the hologram is genuine and the depiction of holography is authentic.

Now, THIS has put a smile on my face. I really laughed at JamesD. Poor Nick. No need to write Bowie books now.
I am definitely looking forward to this new project.
BTW- I started a blog. I don't know why, I haven't got the time to write. (I'm not semi-retired like someone we know) But, if anyone is interested... www.Fantastykvoyage.blogspot.com

This has got to be good news if it comes off, the question is can he remember everything? by his own admission certain parts of his life are a drug induced haze.
Good news though! and will make a change from the usual rubbish we have had to put up with these last few years.
Now we just need to hear there is decent David Bowie album in the pipeline

Great news I always wanted to read a book by David Bowie
so I'm really looking forward to this. I guess it will be
sort of like getting liner notes from some of the albums by the artist?
<< an autobiography.... Collaboration obviously means talking about the photo sessions over the years with Ock 3 >>
He could have been writing a book about all his collaborations with music producers, other music artists etc not an autobiography as such, but a hell of a lot more interesting than writing a dedicated book about a bunch of photos.
