Anyway, shield with +str and cranium basher is OK then?
BNM's are not allowed to use unique items, much less +STR items. A +MAG item or two for reading glasses is considered by some to be okay, assuming you only use such an item in town.
If you are having problems with -all issues, you could try using -mana/-magic and +dfe items instead.
