Avoiding contact with townies rules out purchase of Mana Potions, rendering him virtually LoL. Thus, most of his time will be spent in some form of physical combat and/or rounding up partial Mana Potions from dlvls 1-4. Physical contact is unavoidable under such conditions, unless he goes bow for dlvls 1-4.
As far as the HPs go, gameplay will probably get *very* tedious on dlvls with with shooters - especially spitters. Depending on how low you plan the HPs to go, he could forseeably die from walking through an acid puddle.
